Woah, so this took me by total surprise! In a good way I think. I was expecting something quick and really smutty and instead I found myself quite caught up in the characters and their story. It goes a lot deeper that the title and synopsis would have you believe. There’s a really decent plot line with some really likeable characters, although I have to say Blaine had me exasperated at times. He could be a real mean git at times and I think he really struggled to pull his feelings together and sort his head out for most of the book. Yip, definite alpha boy, potty mouthed and irresistible. Tabatha and Melissa write these characters so well. I enjoyed this very much. This is hot and steamy in all the right places however I felt a little robbed of the Jack Hammer. Yes, he is in this book a fair bit but considering the title of the book he wasn’t the star and there was much less of that character than I thought there was going to be. Poor Chelsey, falling in love with him. They suffer their hardships, of course they do otherwise where would a good book go without those storylines? I loved that Blaine hauled Chelsey out of her shell, in more ways than one. So yeah, good read, lots of entertainment running throughout with some difficult topics touched on. Would I recommend? Yes, totally, I didn’t put the book down for very long before picking it back up and continuing. It was so worth the wait and I totally understand why it was done in one novel, I don’t think two or even a series would have worked for this. So perfect call! 4 stars
