Tyrant - TM Frazier

4 ½ stars I enjoyed this so much more than I did King, this got into the nitty and gritty right from the start and kept the reader there. I found a far more likeable character in King this time around, probably due to the circumstances in which the last book left off and this one began. Doe wilts in this one I think, she appears to lose her steely determination for a while trying to figure out what is or was her life. It was clever, to watch her fall a little and then come back up again when King re-emerges is just wonderful. Tanner was an extremely clever character, well written, suited the plot line very well. You get a whole different world in this book than you did in King. Other characters make their re-appearances too, and although Preppy might be gone in body he certainly hasn’t left. Questions do get answered in this book; TM Frazier doesn’t leave anything out. Well maybe one thing but his book comes next so I see the point to that. Again, while this is dark it still lacked that darkness I so craved with this story. There’s a lot more emotion packed into this book and it will have your heart racing at times. Intense and unpredictable, you might not see what’s coming but you know something is. Great plot twist in there, actually there’s a few. This is a book you sit down and get comfy to; because once you start reading it’s really hard to tear yourself away. Recommended, you need to read both as it is a duology but we warned they have dubious content and some really grim subject matters. My cup of tea…..
